every good criminal knows night's
the best time for trespassing
the only time for trespassing
unless you want to get caught
which would qualify as a fetish

every real criminal remembers
how wonderful that extra tiny holy inch
of anything feels afterwards
the world is theirs, there, you take it
and suddenly it's yours again

every criminal understands the
politics of theft and how the system disagrees
with anybody getting by so easily much more
than what actually goes missing
which makes trespassing a question way
beyond good or bad

every criminal is bound by honor
to show their fellow criminals how they made
a whole world just to keep sleepwalkers who
no longer want to be sleepwalkers indoors
and definitely not wandering
in the middle of the night
